Engineered Garments S/S15 for Drinkwater's Cambridge by Stephen Hopkins

Once again, the Engineered Garments team didn't disappoint with the latest Spring/Summer 15 collection. A mix of seasonal, lightweight outwear, such a the Andover jacket, Ripstop Parka, and Baker jacket, make for perfect summertime layering pieces. Breathable madras fabrics ranging from button-down collar to pop-over style shirting are also perfect for the upcoming months.

We decided to shoot the editorial at a beach just a few miles outside of Boston. Revere Beach was the first public beach in the U.S., and it's strip of restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, and the famous Kelly's Roast Beef, has been around for ages. Locals from surrounding cities and neighborhoods flock to the seaside location every summer to relax and enjoy the weather. The beach's blend of old and new, mirrors our mix of tailored and casual styling to make for a perfect setting for EG S/S 15.

Botanica: Engineered Garments Editorial for Drinkwater's Cambridge by Stephen Hopkins

We recently put together an editorial with Drinkwater's Boutique in Cambridge, MA in stock items from Engineered Garments. The shoot features unconventional layering and functional pieces, including the Reversible Coat. With one side wool and the other side coated canvas this jacket fulfills all needs that come with the changing seasons.Other standout pieces from the shoot include the green Fatigue pant, the Brown Homespun Button Shawl, and the Bedford Jacket in Dk. Navy/Red Wool Floral Jacquard.

Our inspiration for Botanica stemmed from Engineered Garments quality "homegrown" products that are all made in New York, just a few blocks away from the Nepenthes store, where they are sold. The process of designing and making these clothes directly parallels the same qualities one must have when maintaining and molding a garden.
